Create and open documents
Create, download, import, and open iVocabulary documents.
iVocabulary stores each vocabulary collection as its own document. A document contains its languages, chapters, lessons, words, training modes, settings, and history.
Create a document
From the document browser or the welcome window, choose New Document. You can then:
- create an empty document and enter a title, author, languages, and comment;
- generate a document from a topic with Apple Intelligence on a supported device;
- download a shared vocabulary document from the iVocabulary catalogue; or
- import documents from iVocabulary 3 when an old library is found.
Open and manage documents
On iPhone and iPad, documents appear in the system document browser and can be stored in iCloud Drive or another Files location. On Mac, use the welcome window or File > Open. Native iVocabulary documents use the .pvoc extension.
Use the Document item in the sidebar to change the title, author, languages, and comment later.
Free and Pro
The free version lets you try the complete workflow with a limited number of words and structure items. A lock or Unlock iVocabulary Pro button indicates an action that needs Pro.
