Generate words with Apple Intelligence
Generate vocabulary from a description, document, photo, or image.
On supported versions of iOS and macOS, iVocabulary can use on-device Apple Intelligence to create vocabulary. The Apple Intelligence model must be available and enabled on the device.
Generate from a description
- Select exactly one lesson.
- Choose Generate.
- Describe the topic, such as “food for a trip to Italy.”
- Choose between 1 and 50 words and decide whether to include comments.
- Select the generated entries you want, then choose Add Words.
Always review generated translations before studying them.
Generate from an image
Choose Generate from Image, then take a photo, select an image from Photos, use Continuity Camera on Mac, or choose an image file. iVocabulary recognizes the text and extracts word pairs on the device. Review the detected entries and add only the ones you need.
This is useful for printed vocabulary sheets and photographed tables. A clear, straight image with one word pair per row produces the best results.
Generate a complete document
From the document browser or welcome window, choose Generate Document. Enter a title, languages, and a detailed topic. iVocabulary creates a new document with lessons and word pairs.
Generate an image for a word
Open a word's image menu and choose Generate Image to use Image Playground. Availability depends on the device and Apple Intelligence settings.
