Widgets and Shortcuts
Review recent words and add entries from system features.
Next Words widget
Add the iVocabulary widget from the system widget gallery. It shows words from the most recently opened document, including an image when available, and rotates to another word regularly.
The widget uses up to 20 words chosen by the document's first training mode from the currently selected lessons. Open the document after changing its content or lesson selection so the widget can refresh its snapshot.
If the widget says No Words, open a document that contains words and make sure at least one lesson is selected for training.
Add Word control
On supported systems, add the iVocabulary Add Word control to Control Center or another control surface. Open a vocabulary document in iVocabulary once before using it; the control opens iVocabulary so you can add a word to the most recent document.
Shortcuts and Siri
The Add Word app shortcut accepts source text, target text, an optional comment, and optionally a document. Without a chosen document, it uses the most recently opened document. You can run it from the Shortcuts app or with phrases such as “Add a word in iVocabulary.”
If no lesson exists, the shortcut creates one. Free-version limits still apply.
