Getting started

Connect your App Store Connect account

Create an App Store Connect API key and add it to Releaser.

Releaser works with your apps through the App Store Connect API. You need an API key for each account you want to use.

Create an API key

  1. Sign in to App Store Connect as the Account Holder or an Admin.
  2. Open Users and Access, then Integrations › App Store Connect API.
  3. Generate a team key. Give it the App Manager role so Releaser can create versions, edit release notes, and submit for review.
  4. Download the private key file (.p8). Apple lets you download it only once, so keep it in a safe place.
  5. Note the Issuer ID shown above the list of keys and the Key ID of the new key.

Add the account to Releaser

  1. Choose Releaser › Settings… and the App Store Connect tab.
  2. Choose Add Account.
  3. Enter a name for the account, the Issuer ID, and the Key ID, select the .p8 key file, and choose Add.

Releaser stores the account and key in the Keychain on your Mac. To work with several developer accounts, add one account for each. Working with your own apps requires the free trial or Releaser Pro.
